We’ve continued to ask different people to tell us about their “why” in their ministry area, today we hear about Parent Aide from Brittany Tafolla, Parent Aide Team Supervisor, Maricopa County.

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace… – Philippians 4:6-7

I had the opportunity to work with a mother who had Christ as her core. While working with this family, the mother had encountered unforeseen circumstances that easily could make someone say “I give up” or “This is too much to handle.” Instead, she would reflect back to the verse above. It was amazing to see the works of the Lord through her as she was a reminder of how He cares for His children. It reminded me that instead of looking at our worries as a struggle, why don’t we look at it as more opportunities for us to come to His feet. To depend on Him. To seek His tender, caring heart and capture a piece of that. Seeing someone give their worries up to the Lord without hesitation and seeing the peace that had come from that reminded me that all things are possible through the Lord.
