As we reflect on 2024, God continues to move through Arizona Baptist Children’s Services & Family Ministries (ABCS). At the heart of the ministry our desire is to build relationships because we believe lasting impact begins with connection. Hurting children and families are experiencing the love of Christ thanks to supporters like you who join in our mission. It would not be possible to provide hope and care to the thousands of individuals we serve each year without the efforts of our volunteers, the generosity of our donors and the prayers of our partners.
Together, we can answer the call and enter into hard spaces all thanks to God’s love working in us as outlined in 1 John 4:19, “We love because He loved us first.”
In multiple regions, we moved locations, creating more visibility and allowing us to collaborate in new ways with longtime church partners. These transitions weren’t just about location. They also helped us to steward our resources more efficiently and increased our ability to walk alongside others in meaningful ways.
Across the state, the team led workshops that covered topics such as loneliness, mental health and responding biblically to those impacted by sexual abuse. These gatherings brought hope and healing to many and strengthened partnerships with churches.
We received several new resources that opened the doors to serving more people. A new truck at Rio Vista Center—made possible through generous grant funding—helped us provide more families with food. We were also blessed with new ultrasound machines in our Southern and Central regions, equipping us to minister to more women with truth and grace at a critical moment in their lives.
In 2024, there are many stories of how the Lord accomplished good work through relationships. We’re humbled by His provision and grateful for all the ways we experience firsthand the Body of Christ working together to serve the most vulnerable.
